Angela Nance, General Manager

 

Angela Nance has been with Vestavia Bowl since 1998 and since 1996 has participated in League Bowling and Tournaments.  She and her husband, Ryan also own Ryan's Pro Shop & Custom Apparel which is located inside Vestavia Bowl & Riverview Lanes.  Angela has a degree in Commercial Art with a Minor in Graphic Design and loves to be able to use that for both the bowling center and the pro shop especially designing bowling apparel.

 

Angela is a member of the Professional Women's Bowling Association and competes in numerous tournaments across the United States against the best women bowlers in the world!  She is also a Regional Staff Player for DV8 Bowling, Logo Infusion & Turbo Grips!  She has bowled 2 Sanctioned 800 Series (857 Series & 831 Series), 11 Sanctioned 300 Games & 10+ Sanctioned 299 Games.  She currently has the City & State Record for Women's High Series Scratch with an 857 Series.  (2 Strikes away from a perfect 900 series!)  In June 2017, Angela was inducted into the Greater Birmingham Women's Hall of Fame for Superior Perfomance.  She is the youngest person to ever be inducted into the Greater Birmingham Hall of Fame.  Angela was also inducted into the Alabama State Women's Hall of Fame in July of 2018 being the youngest woman to ever be inducted. Angela is the only woman who has ever won a Singles Scratch Title in any Alabama State Open Tournament taking home the 2017 Open State Scratch Singles Title with a 787 Series!  Angela and her doubles partner also hold the State Record in the Women's Alabama State Bowling Tournament.  She has won many other tournaments such as: Mixed Couples, Women's City, Women's State, Mixed State, Scratch State, Open City and Open State Tournaments.  She has been Captain of the Alabama Women's All State Team, Captain of the Birmingham Women's All City Team and Captain of the Youth Girl's All State Team.  Angela is a USBC Bronze Level Certified Coach and is also the Head Youth Coach where bowlers have had great success!
